The Council of Jerusalem & the Ruling for the Former-Gentiles

Submitted by: DonMeecha, July 8th, 2010 Topic: Education Forums - Yet, in the face of numerous and comprehensive arguments, sermons, papers and books the Jerusalem Council’s Decree, inspired directly by the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit, remains unheeded and sadly, even mentioning it is divisive.  3 comments

Tithing in the Torah

Submitted by: DonMeecha, June 28th, 2010 Topic: Education Forums - The tithing system in Israel was to be organized into a 7 year cycle corresponding to the weekly/annual rotation for the land’s Sabbatical rest; every year, at the 1st harvest from First Fruits/Bikkurim to Pentecost/Shavuot & at the 2nd harvest of Sukkot/Booths the tithe was separated from the grain, wine & oil.

The Believer & the Law of Moses

Submitted by: DonMeecha, June 28th, 2010 Topic: Education Forums -

For the Jewish believer, however, the Law of Moses can provide a Biblical means of expressing their God‑given Jewish identity which, in turn, provides a universal testimony of God's faithfulness. For Gentile believers, the Law of Moses may provide opportunities to discover & enjoy the roots of their redemption and to identify with the Jewish community for the purpose of revealing the riches of Messiah.

The Covenant of a Good Report by Don Meecha

Submitted by: DonMeecha, June 28th, 2010 Topic: Education Forums - Very few people who can truly identify when they are receiving an evil/bad or a negative report.  It is easy to receive a bad report from some one because in this age we are not trained to reject negative statements when they arise. 1 comment

The succa and the swastika

Submitted by: MarilynLeff, October 11th, 2009 Topic: Education Forums - Succot, 1936. The newly appointed German consul-general to Jerusalem, Herr Walter Doehl, stood at his office window hung with an extravagantly tasseled swastika banner, and gazed with curiosity at the sight of clusters of bearded Jews, all draped in prayer shawls and resplendent in the styles and furs of late-medieval Poland, entering and exiting a ramshackle foliage-thatched booth on the other side of the Street of the Prophets where his legation was situated, each clutching what seemed to him to be a lemon and a palm frond.

The Mask of the Marranos

Submitted by: Messianicmiriam, October 4th, 2009 Topic: Education Forums - The creation of the modern state of Israel has awakened many dormant cultural pursuits, perhaps none so dramatic as the discovery of long-lost Jews. Every decade or so, another tribe of supposed descendants of biblical Israel—marked by quirky uses of Jewish symbols, eclectic religious observance, and a smattering of Hebrew prayers—is revealed to have been keeping the flame in some remote area of the world, from Africa to the subcontinent. The repatriation to Israel of members of these remnants of the long Jewish exile—from the Bene Israel of India to the Falasha of Ethiopia and the Lemba of South Africa—has been among the most inspiring aspects of the modern “ingathering of the exiles” that has animated the Zionist idea. 2 comments

Public Schools’ Praise Song: Next Step Praying to Obama?

Submitted by: MarilynLeff, September 29th, 2009 Topic: Education Forums - It began last year in earnest. But, like a virus far worse than H1N1, it is beginning to spread like wildfire amongst the public school indoctrinators formerly known as “teachers.“ The Obama power grab-supported by his adoring adherents-has just about reached the most monumental proportion of all time. And Dictator-in-Chief Obama may have finally reached the apex of his desires; that of replacing God with himself. Recently, at New Jersey’s B. Bernice Youngs Elementary School, not only were second grade students forced to sing a song of praise to Obama (the parents were not notified that this was occurring) but, Obama’s name was substituted for that of Jesus in the accompanying words and music. After repeated calls by a few of the press, the superintendent of the school system-Christopher Manno-is reported to have issued a statement saying that this specific exercise had not been authorized. Sounds to me as if he’s not really concerned.

Submitted by: DonMeecha, September 21st, 2009 Topic: Education Forums - Are the Days of Awe, just 10 ordinary days? No, for Messianic believers they are a time of celebration in God's salvation, but for those who do not know Messiah Yeshua, they can be a pretty troublesome 10 days.

Hebrew Calender

Submitted by: MarilynLeff, September 21st, 2009 Topic: Education Forums - The Hebrew calendar or Jewish calendar is a lunisolar calendar used by Jews, the followers of Judaism and in recent decades, by a growing number of Messianic Jews and Christians. Today, the calendar is predominantly used for religious observances, but is also employed by Jewish farmers in Israel as an agricultural framework.
